Mr. Byars joined Paslay Group in February 2026 as Executive Vice President for Corporate Strategy during a period of significant growth for the firm and transformative organizational development. He focuses on driving value for Paslay Group, our partners, and our clients through the strategic integration of cross-disciplined teams built through organic and intentional growth.
He is responsible for identifying and executing strategic partnerships and acquisitions that align with the firm’s long-term vision. He also partners with operations leaders to diversify service offerings and expand markets, synchronizing corporate development with operational delivery, ensuring Paslay Group remains grounded in providing owner-focused solutions at the executive level.
Prior to joining Paslay Group, Mr. Byars spent 17 years in Program Management/Construction Management as an executive leader at a major national, employee-owned consulting firm. During his tenure there, he held roles of increasing responsibility, including leading a $30 million portfolio across four time zones, identifying and integrating acquisitions, and leading the firm’s Texas growth strategy. He has a proven track record of managing large-scale operations, building business development teams and strategies, and executing multi-million-dollar acquisitions accretive to both buyers and sellers.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Florida. An active voice in industry advocacy, he currently serves on the ACEC Texas Public Policy Committee, ACEC Board of Directors, and previously served as Vice President of the American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI).
