
Mark Skjervem has over 40 years of experience in design, engineering, project management, and construction management. In the last 30 years, he has concentrated on airport facility improvements and expansion, managing programs including new terminal developments, terminal renovations, airfield improvements, new air traffic control towers, financial studies, interim facilities, testing, commissioning, and turnover of aviation-related facilities with special focus on project delivery from concept development through acceptance for airport operations.
Mr. Skjervem has managed alternative delivery methods at major airports, including Design-Build and Construction-Manager-At-Risk. He has led projects that require the supervision of design consultants, contractors, specialists, and staff from client organizations. He has extensive experience managing large, complicated multi-phased programs and projects. Most recently, he was responsible for the design and construction of Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAX) multi-billion-dollar program, including the overall management of the LAX Midfield Satellite Concourse.
Mr. Skjervem is recognized for enhancing productivity and improving efficiency while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. He is known for his leadership of projects requiring the integration of complex systems and operations such as project planning, scope development, design management, construction management, budget, and schedule analysis. Mr. Skjervem brings augmented leadership knowledge from being a Program Director at multibillion-dollar airport programs in Doha, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, UAE, DFW, and managing significant Capital Development Programs at ORD, DCA, IAD, and LAX. Mr. Skjervem received his Bachelor of Architecture, Urban Design, from Texas Tech University in 1979.
