Project Overview
The Allegheny County Airport Authority is embarking on a Terminal Modernization Program (TMP) at Pittsburgh International Airport inspired by “Nature, Technology and Community”. A new 700,000 s.f, three-level landside terminal will be built adjacent to the existing Airside facility between concourses C and D. Program elements include consolidated airline operations, elevated and separated arrivals and departures roadways, ticketing hall, baggage matrix and baggage claim halls, a meeter/greeter area, security checkpoint, retail/food and beverage offerings, integrated art program, and landscaped terraces.
The new Multi-Modal Center will comprise a 3300-car parking garage, Rental Car Ready Return, adjacent surface parking, and a Customer Service Building with Rental Car transaction counters. The project is pursuing LEED Silver and ParkSmart certifications.
