Project Overview
The City of Kansas City, Missouri is developing The New Single Terminal and Parking at Kansas City International Airport (KMCI). The project involves the construction of a new 1M SF terminal on the former site of the closed Terminal A. It will initially operate using 39 boarding gates with the flexibility to expand to 42 gates to meet growing demand.
The New Terminal at KCI will portray a large glass façade with a brightly lit terminal and concourses. The project also includes the construction of a larger parking garage opposite the terminal with space for 6,200 cars increasing KCI’s parking capacity. Following the opening of the new facility the existing Terminals B & C will be closed and demolished.
