Project Overview
Paslay Group joined Kansas City, Mo., leaders, airlines, and representatives of leading architecture, engineering, and construction firms in February 2023 in opening the new $1.5 billion, 1 million-square-foot Kansas City International Airport terminal, replacing 50-year-old structures with a modern, efficient single terminal.
The Kansas City Aviation Department retained Paslay Group in 2018 to serve as the Owner’s Representative and Executive Program Manager for the Build KCI Terminal Modernization Program. The program included:
- 1 million square feet of facilities, including a new headhouse, baggage claim area, and 40 gates with space to expand to 50.
- A 6,200-vehicle parking garage.
- The largest installation of all-glass passenger boarding bridges in the U.S.
- $5.65 million in public artworks commissioned through the city’s One Percent for Art program.
