Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Investing $1 billion to Expand, Enhance Key Western U.S. Airport
RENO, Nev., March 17, 2023 – Paslay Group’s Advisory Services Division has begun a five-year engagement with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) to assist in planning and developing a new food and beverage and retail experience in conjunction with the multi-year, $1 billion MoreRNO development program.
RTAA broke ground on the MoreRNO capital program in October 2022, starting with the Ticketing Hall expansion. This will be followed by improvements to the Loop Road and a new Ground Transportation Center. The program culminates in the building of two new, replacement concourses that will enhance the customer experience and expand gate capacity. Demolition and construction on the concourses are expected to begin in 2024 with construction scheduled for completion in 2029.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport is designated a medium-sized, multi-use airport by the FAA and serves more than 4.45 million passengers a year. The RTAA projects that RNO will see a 40 percent increase in passengers over the next four decades, to 7.3 million by 2046.
