Project Overview
The first phase of a 20-year master plan at Tampa Internationa Airport consisted of two primary projects; the Main Terminal Redevelopment, a new 2.6M SF Consolidated Rental Car Facility, and a 1.4-mile Automated People Mover. The plan called for an expansion of the main terminal transfer level, and a complete redevelopment of the concessions program. Relocating the ConRac on the south part of the airport campus to allow for expansion of rental car operations easing congestion in passenger areas.
The PG assessment included meetings and workshops with airport leadership, TSA, and airport security personnel to evaluate the existing Airport Security Plan (ASP) and provide updates for compliance with TSA regulations. In partnership with the airport, PM created an infrastructure protection program, a security training and exercise regimen along with a security inspection and audit program.
