The terminal development program is the second phase of Nashville’s multi-year airport expansion

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 2, 2023 – Paslay Group Executive Program Management has begun its second, long-term engagement with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority to expand and enhance Nashville International Airport, one of the fastest growing airports in the country.

PG EPM will provide MNAA an Executive Program Management team to assist in delivering the $1.5 billion New Horizon program, an improvement and expansion plan for two concourses, a new air freight building, terminal roadway improvements and additional upgrades to further enhance the traveler experience. New Horizon will be phased in over the next six years with a scheduled completion in late 2028.

“It’s been a pleasure to support the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority and its outstanding leaders as they plan for, implement, and execute monumental efforts to meet passenger demand for travel to and through Middle Tennessee,” said R. Clay Paslay, CEO and managing partner of the Paslay Group, the first airport consultancy of its kind providing Executive Program Management, business advisory and development services.

“Capital development programs are not business-as-usual, he added. “Most U.S. airports can benefit from outside expertise to assist in program execution at this level. Our PG EPM group thrives in such dynamic environments and appreciates the opportunity to share its expertise with the BNA executive team.”

In supporting PG EPM’s engagement with MNAA, Board of Commissioners Vice Chairman Bobby J. Joslin noted his respect for Paslay Group and its founder, Mr. Paslay, his leadership, guidance, and “unbelievable vision.”

Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of Nashville International Airport said: “The Paslay Group’s expertise and dedication over the last seven years have been invaluable toward the successful execution of our construction projects and plans for the future. We look forward to the next phase of our partnership as we work to bring a New Horizon to Middle Tennessee and beyond.”

PG EPM is currently completing work on BNA Vision, the airport’s $3 billion development and expansion program that began in 2017. Since January, PG EPM has helped deliver a new BNA Grand Lobby and 24-lane, consolidated security checkpoint, a central Marketplace with locally branded restaurants and a new International Arrivals Facility in addition to an upgraded baggage handling system, parking garages, a transportation center, and a new office building. An eight-gate satellite terminal is scheduled to open in October, and an onsite Hilton hotel is scheduled for substantial completion in December.

MNAA engaged PG Advisory, the Paslay Group division that provides airports business strategy and concessions support to optimize financial performance, in 2021 to manage its related concessions program and 100,000-square-feet of new food and beverage, retail and service spaces. Since then, PG Advisory has assisted in delivering 85 concessions outlets, including the stunning Titans Press Box and Acme Feed & Seed on either side of the new BNA atrium Marketplace.
