Project Overview

The State of Alaska commissioned a study to review the organizational structure of the Alaska International Airport System (AIAS) and their business working relationships with the airlines. The organizational review involved; review of the functions of AIAS versus the State versus state wide functions, assess the efficiency of the AIAS, review and make recommendations regarding centralization of functions, review tip level organizational structure for the Department’s Aviation company including AIAS system, ANC, FAI and statewide airports.

The business working relationship review involved; evaluation of the current business practices, working relationships and communications with the airlines and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and relationships.
